Alternative Style Wedding at the Moorlands | Yorkshire Based Photographer
I am such a believer in your day being exactly that... your style, your vibe, exactly what you want. This was embraced beautifully by Josh and Jade with their November wedding at a venue which is super local to me- the Moorlands in Halifax. Jade wore a beautiful taupe All Who Wander gown from Ava Rose Hamilton which gave the most perfect boho vibe with dramatic sleeves and layered tulle- I'm obsessed with wedding dresses and I LOVED photographing this one!
The couple made it official in front of their closest friends and family for their short but sweet ceremony, ending with a bubble confetti exit before long island ice teas and pornstar martinis. We took a little wander in the water garden for some super relaxed couples portraits and a little run near the clock tower to really show off Jade's dress- I couldn't resist!
The guests seem to understand the assignment with the red and black theme of the day which mirrored the gothic style decor they had opted for, and Jade's hair!
This day was super relaxed which worked perfectly with my laid-back approach to wedding photography. The couples portraits and formal group photos took less than 20 minutes in 2 separate short sessions to ensure they weren't away from their guests for long- this is super important for me for you to look back on your day and remember being with your most important people, not being away for too long having your photos taken.
