A Quintessentially Yorkshire Wedding in the Heart of Wharfedale | Craven Arms & Cruck Barn, a Perfectly Rustic North Yorkshire Barn Wedding...

This wedding venue just screamed Yorkshire! As a Yorkshire based wedding photographer, I love a good barn wedding, and this one had so much character. Ruby & Sam had a celebrant-led ceremony (with Ruby's dad as celebrant!) at the Craven Arms and Cruck Barn. The pub made for such a gorgeous space for an intimate, cosy and fun-filled day of celebration for such a lovely couple. This wedding was such a wonderful example of a couple's personalities and vibes shining through into their wedding day. It felt truly authentic to them, which absolutely shone through in their wedding photography.

The couple opted for shorter coverage for their wedding photography which worked perfectly with their plans for the day. I was by their side from getting ready through to speeches, just before they sat down for their gorgeous wedding breakfast. The vibes were cosy, rustic, autumnal, and laid-back, and they absolutely nailed it!

DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WITH SOFT EDITORIAL INFLUENCE

''I couldn't have ever imagined feeling as natural in front of a camera as we did on our wedding day.''

One of the most common things I hear from couples is how self-conscious they usually feel when getting their photos taken, or they feel too awkward to pose for photos. Ruby & Sam were no exception to this, but with my relaxed approach to your wedding photography, this is something you really don't need to worry about. My aim will always be to capture you as your authentic selves- your wedding photography needs to feel like you, this is where the magic happens. With some gentle guidance and most importantly, focusing on capturing your day as it organically unfolds, my promise to you is you won't feel awkward or that you are 'posing' whilst you have your photo taken. My approach will lead you to feel relaxed and you will be too busy to enjoy your day to worry about where the camera is, I promise! If this sounds like the approach you want to your wedding photography, head over to my enquiry form & in true Yorkshire style, let's have a natter about your day.

Autumnal Yorkshire Barn Wedding | Leeds, Yorkshire Based Wedding Photography

The girls sipped mimosa's whilst Ruby had her makeup done by the wonderful Keira Wilson, MUA and the boys had some group shots by the river. The wedding party stayed in the Fountaine Inn at Linton, less than a 5 minute drive away from the Craven Arms and Cruck Barn. Then we headed to the wedding venue, where Ruby's dad led a personal and touching ceremony in the cosy barn, boasting gorgeous rustic beams and stone walls. Such a perfect spot for such an intimate celebration. The beautiful florals carried the autumnal theme perfectly, created by the talented Walter & Blossom. After the new Mr & Mrs enjoyed some canapés and Prosecco with their guests, we took a short stroll down to the river for some beautiful couples portraits. Once we were back at the pub, we got some super fun group shots with the wedding party, close friends & family before everyone headed inside for speeches by the candlelight.

''Charlotte was relaxed and on the ball; she made the whole experience so much more laid back and informal than I expected...we felt like we knew her.''
